today i confirmed what i thought was a Jeffrey Pine WAS NOT. it has TWO needles, whereas the Jeffrey Pine has three. disappointed, but it is unlikely to do well here as it likes much higher elevations. and, now i get to figure out what the hell it is!! after that, i spent most of my time in the AIDS Memorial Grove, working on gathering info for The Book. summer is ending soon, and i still have a couple spots left to cover before it’s over and done with.
