today i did some research at Lloyd Lake. i rarely get out over there. it’s a small lake, if you can even call it that. and, there’s not a ton of interest there for me, except that there’s a Great Horned Owl there i heard and saw once. but this time, in observing what Spring elements are still around before the season officially changes this sunday, i found myself re-enamored of the stream leading into the lake along JFK. and, at the end of my visit, i spotted an owl feather lying alongside the stream! it’s so often the nooks and crannies of the park that i fall in love with. it was nice to be reminded of that again.
