today i totally failed to find a Great Horned Owl family of four reported last saturday in a cluster of eucalyptus trees. there were no more than ten trees, and i could not find them. UTTER FAIL. but it was nice to be in that tiny pocket of The Presidio again and notice all the familiar native faces soaking up the sunshine anyway.
