today i had things to check on and was grateful the sun was out for most of my Naturing time. Whiskey Hill, Bowling Green, AIDS Memorial Grove, Lily Pond, OWLS. never noticed this tree spirit on Whiskey Hill before. and, my first time seeing Manzanita Leafgall Aphid pods! so bizarre!! also, first time seeing a Mallard duckling at the Lily Pond, awww. finished checking all the things, so i stopped to check if the Great Horned Owls of the Lily Pond were still in the same area. YEP! and, to my surprise, there were two people already there and camped out for a photo shoot – Renate Elster and Mike! thought it was bound to happen that we’d run into each other someday in our park. nice that it finally happened. some owl pics in the comments for those who aren’t yet sick of them already…
