today we went on our first formal birding outing since quarantine! visited a site we’ve been curious about for a while now and saw shorebirds (terns, cormorants, a Mallard mama and her ducklings, Black Oystercatchers, Marbled Godwits, among others), a Gray Hairstreak butterfly, crabs, a mouse, and Harbor Seals. so nice to see new nature places with friends again.
