today i did more Nooks and Crannies east of North Lake. highlights include watching three juvenile Cooper’s Hawks or Sharp-shinned Hawks fighting with each other (?), practicing flying, and going claw-to-claw with crows, discovering where the brazen raccoon family of North Lake live, spotting a juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron, strolling alongside the bison, and admiring the front (which i’d never seen before) of the Angler’s Lodge (which is actually quite charming).
