today we finished Mt. Sutro, essentially. we’ll finish the stretch of the Historic Trail still left for us if they kick off the bikers or when physical distancing is allowed. i can safely say that Mt. Sutro is by far and away my second favorite green space in the city. you really feel like you are somewhere else when you’re there. 2nd favorite trail is the Mystery Trail. highlights include finally seeing the summit and its charming meadow, the gorgeously canopied bits along the smaller trails, having no mountain bikers on the trails we hiked, every single shrine/altar, and watching another pocket gopher timidly do house projects.
