today was all about trees. turns out that we were wrong when we thought we saw the Colonial Historic Trees. so, i spent some time there today. also visited the George Washington Elm and the Liberty Tree. highlights include a huge group of Cedar Waxwings nibbling high in an Elm tree above me, more mushroom spotting, and finding a super quiet spot on a path of elm blossoms (?) lazily drifting around me while birds (the easily identifiable American Robin, but some other quieter ones) sang nearby. took a video of it just in case it’d be a nice audio memory sometime when i might need it.
