R: Bunchleaf Penstemon?
Today we (yep, Brian, too!!) went to check out the newly opened Francisco Park. Also stopped in to check on the Great Horned Owlets in The Presidio I found recently. And, because of the hour and all, this will be SUPER BRIEF.
Francisco Park is nice! Native plantings everywhere! Newtome Penstemon flora!! At The Presidio, confirmation of THREE GHOwlets!!! Saw all three clearly. AND, spotted ONE adult GHO (likely the Ma Owl), which we never would’ve found if a California Scrub-Jay hadn’t started squawking like crazy at it out of the blue! Owl pics below for the owl fans.
