today we left Portland for some adventuring! we hit a number of spots along the gorgeous gorge, and we pretty much oohed and aahed at the frickin’ lush beauty all around us. we spent most of our time at Latourell Falls, and the Upper Falls was the absolute gem there. so great to be immersed in such a different type of forest than i’m used to! the entire way was terrifically scenic, but once we spotted MOUNT HOOD our jaws dropped. WHAT A MOUNT IT WAS!! would be great to have more time to take that in more. next time. so happy to have gotten out of Portland to soak up the crazy beautiful Oregon surroundings over here.
