today i visited some places for The Book: Whiskey Hill, RW Meadow, Alvord Lake, Hippie Hill, and the AIDS Memorial Grove. i spent a lot of time thinking and realizing that i had more areas of the park to cut from the book. and, this was very freeing. also, i discovered a number of native flowers (hello, Pacific Bleeding Heart and Redwood Sorrel!), in the Redwood Grove within the AMG, which was a delightful treat to find. though the chilly weather kept most of the creatures away, i was still able to find new-to-me or new-to-me-in-GGPark flora. and, i will be sad when that stops happening.
