today i tried again to see the Sora of Stow Lake and failed! i am learning that when i try to see something specific it almost never works. but! i had a flippin’ lovely afternoon of Naturing around Stow Lake and watched a Double-crested Cormorant swallow a small carp whole and saw an Allen’s Hummingbird bathing on Huntington Falls and saw both a Pipevine Swallowtail and Red Admiral all over Purple Sage and spotted TWO mice trying to pull down weeds. lots of magical moments today!
