today i went Naturing with Juli Chamberlin! we did a loop of Pine Lake and Stern Grove and saw exciting things, like this Green Heron (my first adult GH!), a Hooded Oriole, and a new-to-me flower, the GIANT VETCH. it’s not so giant, like not at all, but the name begs for all caps. also got to see my darling Malva parviflora just about everywhere, great views of three Red-tailed Hawks soaring above, a singing Townsend’s Warbler, and two adorable Welsh Corgis. nice, if not too warm for me, day with a good friend!
