today i covered Metson Lake. i had hoped to also cover Spreckels Lake, but it didn’t happen. while a pretty tiny “lake,” Metson Lake is pretty unexceptional. but if you want a very isolated spot of water to enjoy, this is mostly empty whenever i’ve been there. i did luck out in getting to admire a Japanese Cherry tree in gorgeous blooms, with flower petals floating here and there from the breeze. yep, you can find a dose of Zen here.
