today i saw both a BARN OWL in The Presidio and a GREAT HORNED OWL in GGPark and have these super crappy photos to prove it! the Presidio Barn Owl was in the same place as yesterday, but the afternoon sun made it impossible to capture well. and i discovered my first SOLO GHO in GGPark right between Lloyd Lake and the Disc Golf Course! just visiting the umremarkable Lloyd Lake and heard HOOTING just before sunset. found this solo GHO hooting and looking around all by itself. so dang exciting. especially when i wasn’t expecting to hear or see one today!
