today we ventured to see an uncommon bird at Stow Lake that’s been spotted recently, the Sora. no luck, but we had a nice half walk around Stow Lake, saw a Common Yellowthroat, walked through the Strawberry Hill Garden (which Brian hadn’t done before), saw a couple new-to-me flowers (which is growing increasingly less common!), and got to see far more Great Blue Herons claiming their nests for the spring than last time i was there. can’t wait for the baby GBHs to arrive!
