today i walked to Mallard Lake (by way of the SFBG and Stow Lake) and back! not sure i can do a further roundtrip walk, as i was dog tired on my way back. but neat to know i can do that much right now! and if it wasn’t so dark on my way back, i’d have likely stopped here and there, so who knows… a number of things are blooming or about to bloom in the SFBG, like Magnolias! and even though i took the same route as yesterday, i still saw new things at Stow Lake – like Northern Shovelers and Buffleheads! spotted huge clusters of mushrooms before hitting The Oasis. and made it to Mallard Lake in time to enjoy the gorgeous sunset. maybe you saw it, too?
