it’s been many years since i drove through Russian River in the Fall. and it was just once that i drove on the Bohemian Highway at the peak of Fall Colors. i’ve always wanted to do that again, and i’ve been tracking it (via https://www.californiafallcolor.com/map/) for weeks! today was the day. Fall Colors are at their peak up there right now, and today was a perfect weather day to drive up the coast, through all our favorite small towns, up the Bohemian Highway, through Guerneville, and back down the Gravenstein Highway. and it was just frickin’ lovely. hardly any pics, as it was almost entirely driving through and past and under it all. wish i could’ve stopped on the highway to snap this beautiful black cow under these gorgeous yellow bursting trees right past Wild Flour, but ah well. got to see it!! so lucky the timing worked out to do this.
