today i got to go Naturing for the first time this week! i decided to go Fall Color hunting, and my park did not disappoint. also saw a couple new bits of flora, heard the cry of a Red-tailed Hawk (for i think the first time in person??) that flew overhead, AND i heard and saw both the Great Horned Owls of the Lily Pond as well as the Barn Owl of the Bowling Green (which flew right over me so i got great looks at its gorgeous wings). same spots at the same time as when i’ve seen them before, like clockwork. both types of owls doing the same routes, flying short hops to trees making their way east (with the GHOs hooting all the way). i love that i now know where all three GHOs are in the park and when to hear and see them, as well as my neighbor Barn Owl friend.
