today we visited the West side of the park. we spent time with the bison, got to see juvenile Ring-necked Ducks at North Lake, watched a juvenile raccoon swim in North Lake right in front of us, and two Great Horned Owls just West of the bison paddock (where i heard for the first time what i call The High Hoot!!) before heading home along the Great Highway to catch the tail end of what must’ve been a gorgeous sunset.
