today i got out for a walk in what feels like forever. last week had so many afternoon priorities that kept me from getting out. and what a gorgeously foggy afternoon! we took a stroll around Stow Lake and spotted a Hooded Merganser, Warbling Vireo, and Ruby-crowned Kinglet before we ended up near The Ugly Bridge off Strawberry Hill (not pictured here) when we heard AN OWL. HOOTING. SUPER CLOSE BY. and we spotted TWO GREAT HORNED OWLS just above us!!! HEY Yvonne Ellefson! today, I DELIVERED!!!
yep, i get this excited each and every time i see an owl. any owl. Bob Toleno, i may never be a real birder!
