today i visited Mallard Lake, as it felt like it’d been a while. and i made my usual loop around it, through the Elk Glen Meadow (it’s not called that, but it should have a name), around Elk Glen Lake, through The Oasis, and back. highlights include all the wild blackberries around ML (SO MANY! SO BIG!), watching this Wild Radish plant get sucked into the ground by a pocket gopher (so something DOES eat it!), and watching a wild turkey hanging by EGL.
