had to give Brian the apartment for an interview, so i went behind Mountain Lake Park to see if i was able to see the infamous American Redstart that many birders are focused on these days. didn’t spot it, but i met a very nice kid birder (12 years old?) named Max who pointed out the nest to me. and, i saw this nutso caterpillar (Spotted Tussock Moth) in both large and small sizes!
