today i wandered the park. and got to watch more live jazz by that same group! continued my Nooks and Crannies exploring, north of JFK between 10th and to the Oak Woodlands Trail. still my favorite trail in the park. highlights include seeing for the first time many juvenile birds begging for food (Hairy Woodpecker, Hutton’s Vireo or Ruby-crowned Kinglet – i can never tell them apart, and Scrub Jay) and seeing the Dahlia Garden with blooming dahlias finally!
