today we returned to The Presidio and explored west of 19th Ave. we took the Mountain Lake Trail to Lincoln then took the lovely wood plank Lobos Creek Valley Trail back, finishing with a drive along one of our favorite roads in the city (Lincoln Blvd along the coast). no good views of the creek itself, but we got a nice look below us at the Lobos Valley Overlook. highlights include the Lobos Creek Valley Trail habitat, seeing a Northern Mockingbird, and watching a Downy Woodpecker couple starting to build a new home.
