today i wandered around what i call The Three Lakes: Elk Glen Lake, Mallard Lake, and Metson Lake. i continue to adore the many seas of Nasturtium that are everywhere in GGPark. they are now also my favorite salad topping. highlights include the many birds i seemingly snuck up on (which is a lot easier to do when walking solo), seeing a Pygmy Nuthatch feed its kiddos, and these two sparrows (not sure yet what kind) just watching me watching them with dragonflies in their mouths.
