today we wandered on trails west of mallard lake and around speedway meadow. the Canada Geese were not playing a sport we could recognize on the polo field. and while the trails were relatively uneventful, we did have highlights of seeing a Red-shouldered Hawk and a Red-tailed Hawk both with Pocket Gophers in tow for dinner. oh, and watching a Bewick’s Wren begging for food at Mallard Lake was neat, too.
