today was another solo walk for me. and, it had to be short. i gotta stop agreeing to stuff before 7pm on weeknights. it interferes with my nature time!! walked around Mallard Lake, around Elk Glen Lake, and along Metson Lake. highlight easily was watching a Great Blue Heron fishing only to see another Great Blue Heron swoop in with a pocket gopher in his beak, wash it in the lake, then swallow it!
