today had to be a short walk, so we did a loop around the Lily Pond. just in case we caught a glimpse of the elusive Northern Parula, like all the other birders we came across. no luck, but we’re itching for the Lily Pond to reopen so we didn’t mind much to walk around it. but the highlight was encountering a large raccoon that stalked us for a bit!
